Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffOctober 7, 2009With FTP programs, we want to get a lot of bang for our buck. Unfortunately, FTP Commander Pro comes with very few basic features, and its advanced offerings are limited to comparing and synchronizing local and remote directories. It also includes a basic FTP server. You are only allowed to transfer files one by one and work with one FTP site at a time. The program can't resume interrupted transfers, which is a big negative in our book. You can't browse FTP sites while downloading or uploading, either. What's more, FTP Commander Pro doesn't support secure protocols or the ability to schedule sessions. While the interface is well designed and intuitive, we'd like to see a transfer queue and bookmarks. All in all, this is a middling FTP client that needs more features to stand out.
