This image-spidering program performs its main job in a competent but undistinguished manner. The gloomy, confusing interface doesn t provide a built-in browser or a preview of the site tree. The only way to view downloaded pictures is to open the target folder. On the bright side, Web Retriever offers a number of settings to screen out unnecessary files. You can filter by file types (even nonimage files such as MP3), depth of search, and keywords (but not size). Considering its limited feature set and stingy 10-use trial, we only recommend Web Retriever for quick and dirty projects. Only the most undemanding users will come back for more.
