The customizable interface displays a real-time graph easy enough for novices to understand. The graph displays download and upload speeds in kilobytes per second. You can easily customize graph transparency and spike colors, but window size is locked. Some users may find the graph too small. The application's memory usage on our test system was about one-sixth of the Windows Explorer shell, which is a bit large for a monitoring application. Warning: on program start Speed-o-Meter displays a pop-up ad for the publisher. Any level of user will find this application easy to use, but the lack of a log reduces its benefit for power users.
