Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffNovember 8, 2008This nifty little freeware program lets you easily create shortcuts for a variety of purposes. WebKey resides in your system tray and offers a simple right-click menu to create, enable, and disable shortcuts. Select Show to find a plain interface with only two columns: Action and Hotkey. Click next to the check mark under Action to open a simple window that lets you add a number of actions, including opening programs and Web pages, and sending an e-mail. There's a Browse tool to help you locate files, and WebKey offers sample actions to help guide you in creating your own. Choose the keys you wish associated with the action, hit Save and your shortcut is ready to use. There's no Help file, but one isn't really necessary. There's nothing to complain about this program, and it's so simple even the novice can use it to create effective shortcuts.
