Country Codes' unappealing, but functional, interface lets you choose a country from a database that includes 250 options. The program will display all sorts of information, from dialing codes to business and Internet-related codes such as ISO and FIPS 10-4, as well as local time, coordinates, capital city, and the country's flag. Moreover, the program features links for more information, including National Geographic's world map and the CIA's country facts Web page. When not in use, the app sits in your system tray. During our tests, the option to copy information to the Clipboard didn't work, though everything else in this busy program worked without problem. It could use a design makeover, but anyone can use this freeware tool to get a snapshot of countries from around the world.
