Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffNovember 7, 2008This awkward utility lets you magnify what's on your screen with a few mouse clicks, although you'll lose control of other mouse functions in the process. Zoomer has no interface and works hidden in the background. Once activated, your screen, in effect, becomes a screenshot. A left click of your mouse button enlarges the image, while a right click reduces the size of the image. The program offers a clear view of the zoomed image, although there are no editing tools to enhance appearance. We found it extremely difficult to maneuver around the image; we never knew exactly what part of the image would be enlarged or reduced. To regain regular mouse functionality, you must hit the Esc button. Also, if your screen resolution has a height or width greater than 1,024 pixels, the program won't work. You have seven days to evaluate it, which is enough time to determine that other magnification programs trump this one.
